relegate Grimsby having come from behind thanks to Hume, with Dadi scoring the
winner after Tranmere were reduced to 10 men. A thrilling end to the season. |

May - Theodore Whitmore to sign - This
creative midfielder seems to be Mellon's replacement. He's scored two dozen goals
as a Jamaican international and played for Hull and Livingstone. |

May - Beresford, Goodison, Haworth sign - All
three sign one-year deals to stay at Tranmere. Haworth is on target for an October/November
return. Only 4 more players needed to put pen to paper. |

wants to keep Iain Goodison, Gareth Roberts, Paul Hall, David Beresford, Eugene

has been strongly suspected for some time, Mickey Mellon is almost certain to
leave Tranmere over the summer. He's been offered a year's contract but hasn't
agreed to sign. |

looking to sign Darlington striker Barry Conlon over the summer although other
clubs are interested. The Irish U21 international & former Man City man scored
13 this season. |

Little is finally rewarded for his remarkable turnaround of Tranmere's fortunes.
16 points from 18 and the previous month's FA Cup have delighted all. |

Apr - Port Vale 2-1 Tranmere - In
the last away match of the season Tranmere fought hard to spoil Port Vale's party
but despite Paul Hall's goal, Vale got the win they needed in stoppage time. |

Apr - Tranmere 2-0 Barnsley - After
Harrison missed a hatful, a stunning bicycle kick from Hume put Rovers ahead before
he played in Ryan Taylor to give Rovers a 7th win in a 9-game unbeaten run. |

Little today signed a 3 year contract that reflects the club's happiness with
him taking Tranmere from relegation in October to near the playoffs and the FA
Cup quarter finals. |

Apr - New Vandanel Kit- Tranmere
sign new 2 year deal with Essex Kit-makers Vandanel
who previously supplied Fulham, Port Vale and others. This ends the 4-year deal
with Xara but Wirral sponsor remains. |

Apr - Linwood operation - Defender
Paul Linwood has finally succumbed to the stomach problem that has seen him out
of first team action for weeks. His operation now will mean he starts pre-season
training. |

Apr - Bournemouth 1-5 - Tranmere's
crushing victory is their best away win in 28 years as Jones scores twice while
both Hall and Beresford open their Rovers account. It also gives a positive goal
difference! |

Apr - Wycombe 1-2 - Dadi's
brace summed up Rover's first-half dominance but Wycombe staged a second half
comeback to at least stop Tranmere getting their 7th clean sheet in a row. |

Sharps' first goal since Mar 03 makes Tranmere's
2nd away win of the season. It takes Rovers closer to the playoffs than to the
relegation zone - temporarily at least. |

Mar - New Ground? -
Cammell Lairds Water Front Park submits
pre-planning for a new 12,000 seat ground for Tranmere Rovers, a
5000 seat arena, ski dome, apartments,
hotels, and transport interchange. |

Mar - Notts County 4-0
- Tranmere hammer Nottingham in a game
that produced a brace each from both Dadi and substitute Hume. New signing Hall
had a great shot saved, as did Navarro. |

Mar - Signing Hall-
Tranmere sign another Jamaican international,
Paul Hall. He is a wide player but scored 16 in 36 games last year. Meanwhile
Onoura has been released and James Olsen also gone. |

Tranmere finally get 3 points. Rovers
out-played Bristol City who failed to produce a single Achterberg save. Allen
hit the bar twice and with one kicked off the line 4-0 would not have flattered. |

Mar - International Call Up -
Tranmere's Gareth Roberts gets international
call up. Roberts will fly out with the Welsh squad after Tranmere's Notts Forest
match for the match in Hungary on the 31st March. |

Mar - Tranmere 1-2 Millwall -
Another good cup show, but not good
enough. Jones' goal gave hope, but Dadi missed his chance to take Rovers into
the FA cup semis. Attention back on league survival. |

Tranmere lose again. The last time Tranmere
lost 4 league games in a row was the year of relegation. Without a win in 6 games
and with half the teams below still to play, things are bleak. |

Mar - Millwall 0-0 Tranmere -
A strong and convincing performance
gave the travelling Superwhite Army plenty to sing about but the highlight of
the afternoon was of course Achterberg's penalty save. |

John Achterberg injured during warm
up before the Swindon game and might not be fit enough to play against Millwall
on Saturday. Russell Howarth made some encouraging saves during the game. |

- Brian Little has supposedly been approached
by Oldham for manager's job. Its also worryingly reported that Little is only
on a month-to-month contract at Tranmere |

Feb - Signing Onoura-
Iffy Onuora announced as new striker.
A 36 year old veteran who will hopefully act as a target man for crosses from
the nifty combo of Beresford and Taylor. |

Feb - Rumour -
Iffy Onuora said to joining Tranmere
Rovers. He's currently with Grimsby who are supposedly keen on getting him off
their books. He's certainly experienced. |

Feb - Signing -
Ian Goodison signed as new central defender.
He played for Little at Hull and paid his own air fare from Jamaica and hotel
bills to keep himself training with Tranmere til he earned a contract. |

Its rumoured that Jamaican international
Ian Goodison has been Training with Tranmere Rovers and that the only delay in
him signing is trouble with a work permit. |
